Geoff Suthers is a game designer currently living in Brooklyn, New York. While the bulk of his experience is in game design, he also has experience with producing, project management and scripting. Geoff Suthers is a co-founder of Studio Wumpus, a game development company dedicated to exploring the hybridization board game-video games to create new kinds of strategy and play. Creating innovative hybrids out of familiar genres is a theme throughout Geoff's work and he's currently developing a digital version of Goblin Law that utilizes 3D physics to emphasize emergent chaos.
Geoff is formerly a elementary and pre-school teacher. His original interest in game development emerged when he learned about NYU's Games for Learning program, of which he is an alumnus. While not developing commercial titles, Geoff applies his expertise in game development and cognitive science on contract game design to develop educational and serious games.
